An autumn trip to Monte Carlo

30th July 2008

Take to the roulette wheels and blackjack tables in the sunny city of Monte Carlo this autumn.

Designed by Charles Garner, the stylish casino operates a strict dress code and is a popular haunt among the rich and famous. Inside, the decadent interior features chandeliers with bohemian crystal, sculptures and beautiful paintings.

Other popular attractions include the Oceanographic Museum and Aquarium which was founded by Prince Albert in 1910. Located on the waterfront, the building itself is considered an architectural wonder in its own right.

Travellers choosing to stay at the four-star deluxe Le Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel for three nights can enjoy the third night for free, including breakfast and return train travel.

From September 24th until the 27th, the Monaco Yacht Show takes place in Monte Carlo, while the annual Gastronomy Fair is held in November.
Alternatively, visitors to Monte Carlo may wish to take a day trip to the French city of Nice and explore the beauty of the Côte d'Azur.
