Venice: some top tips to get the most from your holiday

I once wrote a description of Venice where I compared the city to one of its most infamous children, Casanova- “romantic, good-looking, decadent and a little bit mischievous”. If anything, my recent trip has consolidated this impression. There is a reason why Venice is so renowned; nothing else is quite like it. As one of the locals remarked to me, “It’s like living in an artwork.”
