The Schweizerhof Hotel is one of my favourite hotels in our programme. Whether you are spending a few nights in Switzerland or stopping off en route to Italy as part of our popular “via the alps” holidays you are assured of both a warm welcome and quality service. Indeed, if you are breaking your onward journey to Italy this is without doubt THE hotel to stay in.

The hotel is a traditional family run property located opposite the main train station in Zurich. From here it is a short walk to the old town, and the famous shopping street of Bahnhofstrasse is literally just around the corner. For midweek arrivals guests are offered a welcome cocktail at the bar on arrival and are also provided with a butler service in the room just after checking in. The rooms are large, spacious and comfortable, and one of the highlights is the electronic bed which allows you to adjust the height and angle of the bed for the perfect night’s sleep. There is also a high quality restaurant available if you are after something a little more substantial.

For me the best thing about the hotel is the quality of service provided – you really do feel well looked after.
