Feel like a King and put a Crowne (Plaza) on your head…Crowne Plaza Brussels – Le Palace has just been totally renovated, and it shows at least from the inside. You might walk past the unimposing building, as I have done for years’ not knowing the sparkling gem that lies within.
Art Nouveau style but brought up to date is the best way to describe it. Big and airy reception areas, bar and restaurant that don’t feel intimidating give a good first impression. But it’s the rooms that really do it for me. After paying the Railbookers price you wonder if someone has upgraded your hotel without telling you, they are large and stylish but with a nod to Art Nouveau.
Even the corridors are big; and if you like your art then you will love the Klimt inspired colours. A bit bright and jazzy maybe but impressive none the less. When it comes to eating you won’t go far wrong with the restaurant, I had a great lunch for around 25€ classic Belgian cuisine fused with Asian influences.
