When you reach the border of China and Kazakhstan you will transfer onto the luxury Golden Eagle Train with its private ensuite cabins, restaurant and bar carriage. Settle in as you glide through the foothills of Kazakhstan’s Tien Shen Mountains where you will stop for a nomadic lunch in a yurt.
Next stop on this historic trail is Uzbekistan where you will follow in the intrepid footsteps of the great Marco Polo and explore the fabulous mosque and observatory of the city of Samarkand and the spectacular Emir’s Palace of the oasis city of Bukhara before travelling onwards through the remote villages of the expansive Kara Kum Desert and the awesome Kopet Dag mountain range of Turkmenistan.
