Press Release: Snowy breaks

Thursday 2nd October 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

For those of us who like the idea of skiing but are more snowball than snow bunny here is the Railbookers’ guide to hitting the area around the slopes. Snowy breaks from £339 per person.

Take some time to appreciate the scenery of snowy St Moritz rather than just whizzing past it with some winter hiking in the mountains. Soak up spectacular scenery with an excursion on the Bernina Express. Visit St Moritz from £389 per person for 2 nights at the 4* Schweizerhof Hotel, including breakfast and return train travel.

Davos may be the perfect place to show off on the slopes but for those who prefer to keep warm why not visit the Winter Sports Museum and then join the real skiers for a spot of après ski afterwards. Visit Davos and stay at the 4* Arabella Sheraton Hotel Waldhuus from £389 per person for 2 nights, including breakfast and return train travel.

Get closer to the Matterhorn without having to actually climb it with a visit to Zermatt. Take the cable car to the dizzying heights of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise (3,883 metres above sea level) for wine tasting and spectacular views. Visit Zermatt from £339 per person for 2 nights at the 4* Hotel Mirabeau, including breakfast and return train travel.

However if the call of the skis is too great Railbookers can offer Swiss Transfer Tickets from £64 per person for one round trip to any destination in Switzerland from any airport or border station.
