Press Release: Not your average weekend
Friday 8th August 2008
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Enjoy a long weekend exploring all that buzzing Brussels has to offer this August and take advantage of our free bedroom upgrade offer at the Hilton Brussels City – from £149 per person for 2 nights.
Get that Friday feeling and swap the office for the Eurostar to Brussels. On arrival take a transfer from the station and arrive at the modern 4* Hilton Brussels City in style where you can spread out in your upgraded Deluxe bedroom. Soak up the atmosphere of Brussels before treating yourself to an Italian fine dining experience at Bocconi Restaurant in the historic Hotel Amigo. But make sure you reserve your table in advance as this place is popular.
After a leisurely Saturday morning breakfast take a scenic tram ride out to the Royal Museum for Central Africa where you can see African masks, learn about colonial Congo and discover African fauna, such as the original savannah elephant that featured in the 1958 Brussels Expo. In the afternoon head back to the centre of Brussels and hit the chocolate shops around the glittering Grand Place before enjoying traditional Belgian fare at the atmospheric Aux Armes de Bruxelles restaurant.
On Sunday pay a visit to the futuristic Atomium, another legacy from the 1958 world fair, and enjoy the various exhibits celebrating its 50 year anniversary. Find nirvana in the Pavilion of Temporary Happiness or learn more about the events of the 1958 fair itself at the fascinating exhibition “Expo 58. Between Utopia and Reality.” End your short break with a relaxing ride on the Eurostar back to London.
