Press Release: Every cloud has a silver lining

Wednesday 22nd August 2007

Delays, lost luggage and cramped conditions, oh the joys of flying. This summer has been plagued by horror stories of ruined holidays, mind numbing delays and a significant rise in insurance claims for missing suitcases! As a result many holiday makers are shunning air travel in favour of rail travel.

Ryanair has recently been quoted as saying "Only the very rich or the very slow waste their time on Eurostar" but with Railbookers’ sales up by 60% compared with the same period last year, we beg to differ. With the move to St Pancras shaving between 23-25 minutes off average journey times the continent is getting closer by rail.

With destinations in Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Monaco, Italy, Hungary, Austria, Poland, and the Czech Republic you don’t have to fly to discover more of Europe. So whether it’s because you want to keep your carbon footprint down, you prefer a journey with a view or you are too fond of your luggage to part with it forever, book your short break or holiday with Railbookers and leave the air rage behind.

Short breaks to Bruges from just £169 per person for 3 nights 3* accommodation including breakfast and return train travel.
Holiday to Venice, Florence and Rome from £699 per person for 9 days including 3* hotel accommodation and return train travel.
Short break to Budapest from £509 per person for 2 nights 4* accommodation including breakfast and return train travel.

For more ideas on holidays and short breaks by train or to book your holiday visit: www.railbookers.com or call 0844 482 1010. Railbookers will tailor make your trip to your specifications.
