Press Release: Christmas on the Continent

Friday 16th November 2007

Escape the Christmas Day routine this year and let someone else cook the dinner for you with a Christmas break on the continent!

With its historic Christmas market and exciting ice rink it is easy to imagine you have walked into a scene from a Christmas card as you stroll around the cobbled streets of beautiful Bruges. Stay at the atmospheric NH Brugge Hotel with Railbookers from £339 for 2 nights including breakfast, a box of Belgian chocolates, "Bruges on foot" booklet, dinner on Christmas Eve and dinner or lunch on Christmas Day and return train travel. This 4* hotel is a renovated 17th century monastery located a short walk from the centre of Bruges.

For a certain ‘je ne sais quoi’ this festive season book a short break in the City of Light, Paris. Enjoy a romantic stroll down the illuminated Champs-Élysées or indulge in a spot of window shopping and marvel at the magical winter scenes at the Galeries Layfayettes and Printemps.  Wake up on Christmas morning in the wonderful Art Deco style Hilton Arc de Triomphe Hotel from just £499 for 2 nights in a Deluxe Plus bedroom with breakfast, Christmas Eve Dinner and Christmas Day brunch and return train travel. Plus a bottle of champagne per room, French pastries (canelés), and a Christmas gift from the Hilton. Staying at this 4* Deluxe hotel with its elegant furnishings and Paris's biggest roofless hotel garden will be a Christmas present in itself.

Keep warm with some steaming hot punch as you watch the skaters on Mozart Square Ice Rink in lovely Salzburg or exercise your vocal chords with a few verses of Silent Night, the classic carol which was composed in nearby Oberdorf. Stay at the spacious 4* Sheraton Hotel from £769 with Railbookers, including 2 nights hotel accommodation with breakfast, 4 course dinner with drinks on Christmas Eve and return train travel. Enjoy Christmas set against the snow capped mountains of Salzburg.
