There’s still time for a last minute trip before Christmas. Railbookers recommends Luxembourg for all things festive this December. The Luxembourg Christmas Market runs until Christmas Eve and is open daily from 10 am – 7 pm (with the exception of Christmas Eve when it closes at 5 pm.)

Marvel at the opulence of the Palace of the Grand Dukes and take in the works of Turner, Rubens and Rembrandt at the Musée National d'Histoire et d'Art.
