Take a tour of historic Germany

4th July 2008

Railbookers is offering holidaymakers the chance to enjoy a tailor-made holiday around Germany.

Departing St Pancras International by Eurostar, travellers will head to Brussels where they will board the ICE train to Cologne, with its contrasting medieval architecture and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

After a day exploring the sights of the city, such as its gothic cathedral and local breweries, a night in the four-star Mercure Severinshof Cologne Hotel beckons.

Next stop on the itinerary may be Berlin, which is quickly establishing itself as one of the top tourist destinations in Europe, with something for everyone.

Berlin is saturated with fascinating historical locations such as Checkpoint Charlie, the impressive Reichstag building with its glass dome roof and the remains of the Berlin Wall, the iconic symbol of Communist oppression.

Other cities than can be added to the journey include Hamburg, Munich, Dresden, Leipzig and Baden-Baden.

Visit Germany.
