Make a date with a European destination
1st August 2008
Residents of Kent are in for a Belgian treat. As of December 14th, Eurostar is bringing back its daily service between Ashfold International and Brussels, meaning the journey will take just one hour and 19 minutes.
There is much to do and enjoy in Brussels from visiting the Brewery Museum and the Belgian Centre of Comic Strip Art, to perusing the wares in the Sablon Antiques Market or visiting the Laeken Greenhouses.
If Brussels does not appeal, then why not take a trip to medieval Bruges? Canals, art, chocolate - Bruges has it all. The city's Groeninge Museum houses a fine collection of Flemish art, while the Choco Story takes you on a delicious journey exploring the history of confectionery.
Travellers may instead opt to pay a visit to one of the many other fascinating cities throughout the continent such as Rotterdam with its captivating architecture or Berlin with its great atmosphere and fascinating history.
Alternatively, a visit to the bohemian streets of the Czech capital Prague might be on the cards. Aesthetically stunning and culturally bountiful, Prague is among the great holiday destinations in Europe.
Take a trip to the continent.
